Honestly, there is a reason. There's just not a GOOD reason. If you're talking about a Christian church, that is. In this day and age homosexuality (or lgbt etc.) is an unfortunately touchy topic. Whether anyone likes it or not you're loved by God, too. If it means a lot to you, attempt to continue to go that church, if it's not worth it, you can always look into other churches that are more loving like they're called to be. Homosexuality in itself is apparently, according to the bible (which depending on the person may or may not be taken for verbatim) a sin. You however, are a human being who was created by God and deeply loved by him because God is blind to sin. We've all done things considered sin, as you've said, and we all should have the ability to belong to a church family. On the other hand, some churches have really strange rules and strings attached to membership like no beards, handmade clothes, women can only wear skirts, no makeup, etc. But that's because those churches are a part of certain denominations. However, you make it sound like you've attended this church for at least some time and now that it has been brought to their attention that you're gay they've asked you to stop attending their particular church. To sum it up, I would really like to apologize because this happens much too often. I'm lucky to have a church that accepts all people from all walks of life including homosexuals. Let that give you hope, though, that you will find a church home where God's love and grace really shines through the people. I hope you won't be discouraged by the actions of this church. "They know not what they do."
