Where should I go to college?

0

My boyfriend and I have been together for 15 months and I’m looking to go to college with him (I’m already a sophomore in college). Although he lives 400 miles away in New York. I love the campus, and I know that I will be getting a better education, but I’m scared to leave my dad behind. Plus, the out-of-state tuition is quite pricey. I want to try something new because all I do right now is attend classes then come back home, I’m not social and I want to do something new, but I’m scared. Any opinions?

It's normal to be scared, but try to be factual about things. Sit down and make a pro's and con's list and analyze them carefully. Its more expensive, but maybe better for your future. You're closer to your boyfriend but further away from your family..... Things like that. After that just make your decision and sum up the courage to see it through. It's not an easy one to make, but i'm sure you will make the right one ;)

Going to college is scary for anybody, and the first few (I'm not going to lie) years without family can feel cripplingly lonely, but we have to move away from them sometime. It's a part of becoming independent.Firstly, I personally wouldn't make a choice based on where the boyfriend goes. Things change, and people change. I don't know how strong your relationship is, but I'm saying it might be too shifty a reason to base your college choice on. You should base your college choice on yourself, and what you want to do. Research, and find the courses that practice what you want to grow up to be. If your relationship with him is that strong, don't worry, it will stay.Try something new. Life is too short, and we should fill it with all kinds of experiences and lessons :)
