I try to do fun stuff to get my mind off things: reading books, watching series, drying flowers, cleaning up your closet, painting, listen music, talk to friends, go out, do a sport, cook, start a hobby, go shopping

I normally take a nice long bath with scents in the water that i like, I listen to music that I like, or I may meditate and put myself around people that will make me laugh.

I've been through alot actually. And then when I am really really depressed, as a normal person, I would just sit and gain weight. And then I just take mini effort to realize that this life is temporary. Everything we are in today.. is gonna be nothing. We are gonna die leaving it all behind, and when we do, we're gonna regret the time we wasted depressed as hell. All I really needed was one good day, and based on that day, I wasn't really depressed anymore. In fact, I don't really care as much anymore. It's all gonna be nothing, why bother? :/

Meditate, go for a walk and contemplate, or create something. usually all while listening to music. The meditation and contemplation helps me to re-identify with myself and the act of creation helps me give meaning to my existence. Other then that I sometimes call a friend to vent excess emotion that would otherwise prevent me from doing the aforementioned activities.

Well personally, i end up crying, like full out sobbing because I find that it helps me get all that negativity out. And of course, music is always an option, but I suggest you should try finding something that makes you happy. Allow yourself to grieve for a while, and then do something that makes you happy like dancing or hanging out with friends.
