WHat’s happening

Ever since Saturday I haven’t been hungry at all.. not even one ounce and when I do eat like a little I feel like I am going to puke. I haven’t been feeling all that good lately and I’ve been getting really bad mood swings, like one minute I am happy and smiling and having the best time of my life and then suddenly I’m in hell.. I really don’t know what’s going on.. I can’t focus on anything :( HELP!!

Are you taking any medications? I experience this sometimes with mine. It may help to try starting with some bland foods that aren't too hard on your stomach, like broth/soup, and crackers. It isn't nutritionally helpful, but it may help you from feeling so nauseous around other foods. If it continues, I would definitely talk to a doctor or physician. It is important that your body gets the nutrients and fuel it needs to sustain you!

Hi there.
I checked out your profile and you have listed that you struggle with depression and think that you may be bipolar.
What you've described sounds like a start to a manic episode, but if your moods change so quickly, it could be a rapid cycling form of bipolar.
I've been diagnosed bipolar for several years now. And when I'm not on my meds, this happens to me when I am going into a manic episode. I don't want to eat and when I try to, I feel sick. I can go for days and days without eating anything and I won't even feel hungry. Sometimes, I forget to eat completely and have to leave reminders for myself.
I would suggest talking to a doctor about this and they will probably recommend a visit with a psychologist or psychiatrist to discuss the possibilities.
Of course, it's really important to rule out anything that could be physically wrong too.
If you would like to message me, I can tell you more about bipolar, if you would like.

If you haven't eaten for days I would make an appointment with your doctor immediately! It could be that you're sick, a start of an eating disorder, or something else. This isn't healthy and you should seek help. Mood swings are most likely psychological, so mention those to your doctor as well.

I agree with going to your doctor ,as I think in your case, its better we dont speculate, incase you keep waitng to read what is said here and then more time passes wieght loss, more feeling ill etc and it might make matters worse.Good luck.May be when you have found out from the Doctor you can let us know how it all worked out.
