If two people go out for the evening together,
and they both have at least some sexual interest,
and there is even the smallest acknowledged possibility of falling in love,
and a mutual interest in exploring this possibility,
then we can call it a "date."
It's not entirely about what we do.
I think that it's much more about the thoughts behind the reason for why these two people are out, together.
