What do you do when you feel the world is against you?

I have recently opened up to my parents about being a Lesbian. My Father took it nicely, but my mom said it was just a phase and I should get over it. I just feel so shocked she said this because she is normally great at dealing with this kind of thing.

I have already tried confronting her a second time, but nothing changed. It would just feel repetitive if I tried again, so what do I do?

Give her more time. She is probably just in denial. Your life is not dictated by the opinions of others, so don't let her reaction weigh so heavily on you.

at one point of time, everyone feels that there is no one to support. but that is the fact of life. no one can understand and support you better than yourself. so don't let others bother you. know what you are doing and be proud of yourself. you should lead life for yourself, in your own way. cheer up. never ever let yourself down because of others.

You are who you are! In brace it Girlfriend!! If your mum can not accept it right now, she will. It might take some time, maybe just give her that time and see what happens from there..

Congratulations on accepting who you are, and being brave enough to share it. I'm sorry that there are some people who have a hard time dealing with it. Just try to remember the fact that no matter what, you're her daughter. And even though she may not understand why or how, she will always love you. Nothing can change that.

Give her some time, both of you. Maybe try to talk to her again in a while when she's had some time to let it settle.

Don't ever stop being yourself, or let the judgement of other people define who you are and what you can or cannot do, or who you love. Keep your head up high, and greet them with a smile. Because you're awesome, and you'll find people who'll see that too.
