What brought you to this site and why do you stay?

I am here because I want to help people. I don't have a lot of ways to do that where I am but this is a way to help people that are looking for help. It makes me feel good to know that I can do this for people and it makes the people feel better.

I was originally in search of a free therapy/advice site in order to help a friend. Once I got here I really liked the concept of it. I've always been told I'm a good listener and I enjoy helping people with the conflicts in their lives. Not only was I able to help someone I know, I'm able to help others and that's a great feeling!

I'm here because my friend told me to visit this site because he doesn't have all the answers and can't always help me. I have horrible depression. Also, I feel better being able to help other people like me, it's a bonus.

I was brought to this site because at that point in time I was sooo mad at what I was thinking, and I felt like I was alone, and then I talked to someone and instantly I began to see a light in all the darkness I was feeling. Then the next I decided to help someone out and the feeling of them say I help was unexplainable. I want people to realise there is always some who is listening and there is always someone you has felt the way you have felt in a point of time. This website is genius.

I came on here because I have been helped by strangers in the past and have developed wonderful friendships. So now i want to give back through my past experiences and try to help others! <3

I'm here because I don't really have anyone else. Plus, it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one that's struggling. On top of that, I wanna be able to talk to people and make them feel the love/compassion they deserve.

I came to BlahTherapy to help. I stay because there will always be people who need help.

I needed someone to talk to! I was really sad, and depressed one day and I had no friends or relationship to turn to! I got onto google and typed I need someone to talk to! This site popped up and I have never strayed away, I keep coming back! I have been coming back to this site almost everyday since last May ( 2013 ). I met some really great friends, and we sort of lost our touch! Now, I have a new friend I met the beginning of the year, and I am really hoping for the best! When I need a friend or just some advice this site is always here! When I feel like I need to help others which is quite often because I feel lonely a lot, this site is here for me to help! I just love it a lot! Even though I can't say my depression and loneliness has gone away it has saved me from some pretty lonely nights! I am thankful for this site, and the friend I made! :)

I came here for guidance from unbiased strangers to work on myself. I also live for helping others in anyway I can. This website is a small thing that could leave BIG impacts on thousands of lives. It's beautiful.

Im here because i need some to talk to.... im depressed and lonely!!! i need a frind to lean on. what has kept me here is the loyal support i recieved from so many people who are not even expecting anything in return.

I knew this site from a life-hack account on Twitter. It helped me battled my depression, and I found some helpful people here. Also, I love to talk with strangers from other countries and this site is safer than *m*gl*.
Lending an ear is an easy thing, but not all people want to do it, although it's very valuable to those who need it. I'd love to listen to people because in real life nobody listens to me.

This website's concept of helping other and helping yourself is amazing. I had never seen anything like it. It's unique and different in so many ways. I stay because I see it as a window out into the world. In a way, it's helped me realize my place. It takes away the "idea" that you're all alone. The fact that so many people help and get helped on here makes it feel like an online psychiatric hospital- all in good ways. It's a community built on the intention to bring people together, and it's been said a million times already, but to Help. I've seen some really amazing people on here. It's also inspiring. I stay because I love this community and the people in it. I love helping people, and I love listening to their stories, and I love sharing. In the world wide web, this is what it's all about. It's a safe haven for souls, really.

I'm fairly new to this website (though quickly found myself contributing) and was brought when a certain problem arose and I vented to people. I joined this website and found it actually helped me to help people and just kind of get involved and help and vent with understanding and open minded people.
