What are ways to feel more upbeat and happy everyday?
I recently started to notice that I am not as upbeat and happy-go-lucky as I used to be and I want to be able to bring back that attitude. If you know of any ways that have helped you, feel free to add it below and I will respond how it affected me. Thanks for all your help!
For me I usually spend time with friends, or interacting with people. Also doing something you enjoy to keep yourself busy. But if it doesn't help or you find you can't figure it out then you may need to see someone about it and perhaps they could provide some deeper insight.
when I have been down it has sometimes helped, if it doesn't winter, to move my bed under my window, it may seem small but it has helped me sometimes to just get up easier and be happier throughout the day, if you, of course, have the curtains up at least. and also exercising, sleeping more and getting proper food can help.
1. Be grateful for little things. At the end of the day write down what you are grateful for. It could be anything like “lunch was really good” don’t let negative thoughts interfere either.
2. Hang out with friends more
3. Eat healthy! Certain foods can make you happier
4. Meditation can make you happier. Just 5 min everyday
5. Love yourself! Do what your good at and be proud of yourself
There are plenty of different ways to help yourself get in a better mindset. For one, getting up and out is a good way to keep your mind more awake. Exercise or just going for a short walk will help. Keep yourself on a decent sleep schedule, and eat plenty of food. And don't forget the most important thing, MUSIC. Listen to good upbeat music, or songs you enjoy. Music is great for lifting up spirits.
I have been putting on affirmations while I take a shower and that has helped. I also have been reading "Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff". I read one excerpt a day. I am taking it slow and steady. I wish you the best.
