I’ve been depressed for a while. I self-harm but here recently its just gotten out of hand. Im afraid to tell people because well you know being judged. Anyway, I need help clearly that’s why im here. How can I tell someone without them freaking out? Or how can I stop?

It's not always easy to tell people. Sit down with them and explain that lately you haven't been doing so well. Explain that you want help to get better. It's already a big step that you want to stop harming yourself. Here's a link to a site with alternatives: http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f12-self-harm/t9418-alternatives-self-harm/

Hello Ann , i know self-harming is really hard to stop once it becomes a habit , i know that because i have a close friend who's gone through all of this. and the fact that some people will judge instead of helping you is really sad . But not all people will do that find some close friends or even just one will do the trick , ask them to get rid of everything you can harm yourself with , and when you feel like harming yourself just call one of those friends , tell them how you feel , let your feelings out in a non-harmful way . It took my friend about 2 months to completely stop self-harming ,it might take less on longer for you but i really wish you the best of luck , and i hope you can get through all of this :)
