tips on how to be sociable?

Any tips or tricks on how to be more sociable? Or to be seen as friendly?

i’m currently having a hard time on keeping up with my classmates who are quite older than me. Most of them know each other very well and I feel like a total outcast when in their presence.

smile and listen to them.. they like that. ask for their suggestions.. even say HI.. act confident.. they like that as well.you can be shy at first.. but you an do it.:-)HI! :)

Confidence is very important and showing that your being ACTIVE not PASSIVE in the conversations between them. As from experience I know it is very easy to take a back seat when you feel you cannot connect with them. Also by gaining some common ground this may help also for example interests, hobbies, TV programmes. Start with a basis and build from that may help you :) Finally to reinstate what I said at the start confidence does not mean to be something that your not but to be who you really are.
