Hello Amy, I have very little knowledge on this, however I will do my best to answer your question. As far as I know there are not any STDs that would give you a sore throat. It is very possible that you just happened to get sick around the same time that you had oral sex with him. However, if your symptoms do persist I would recommend seeing a doctor. Hope that helps!

Rather rude comment above but it's that time of year where people pick up colds etc if your worried get it checked out and drink plenty of warm water to keep your throat moist and will help with the pain :)

STDs don't usually show symptoms for about 2-10days. Most likely you just over did it. I have heard rare situations of women developing abscesses from giving oral sex, it's not common but it's caused by a reaction to semen. If you have been active with another partner and had no issues, I'm going with your just getting sick. Just to throw this out there, refrain from any oral if you have strep, it's highly contagious and can be spread to other parts of the body besides the throat!
