Social Anxiety, how to tell my parents?

Hey :)
A week ago i made a social anxiety test, and it said that I suffer from social anxiety. I want to talk about it with somebody, but I don’t know how to tell my parents. I really want to tell my Dad, because he got diagnosed with Panic Attacks, so he might know how to help me. But i don’t want to bother him, because he’s on a cure right now to recover. I really don’t know what to do, anyone help? ..

Sorry for my bad english, it’s not my native language :o :)

If you are serious about talking about this and opening up, you should broach the subject with them by seeming interested in it. Let them know that you have reason to believe you suffer from it and ask for legitimate testing from a doctor or therapist. If your father suffers from panic attacks, it does not mean that you cannot share relevant and important information with him, it simply means he has to learn to control himself and his behaviors. Just be open and honest, it'll all work out.
The only way to know for sure if you have social anxiety disorder is to get a diagnosis from a professional. Still, since your dad has issues with panic attacks, I am sure he would understand if you tell him about it. I do not think it would be a burden on him. Since he is being treated, he may seek treatment for you. Both of you could help each other as you go through anxiety together.
