Skin cancer?

0

I’m just wondering…
When I was a kid and lived in Russia we lived near the beach so we went to the beach all the time. My skin was really dark then but when we moved from Russia it obviously just became light and stuff but now I’m really worried.
When I say we went there all the time then I mean ALL.THE.TIME. Maybe like once a week, I swear!
And now at school I just read in my book that if you get a lot of exposure to the sun as a kid you can get skin cancer later in life…
So I’m just scared, I’m 13, at what age am I most likely to die!? am I gonna die? I have this normal beauty mark but it itches, is that cancer?
What are the chances of me getting it? I’m so scared :(

I very heavily doubt that it's skin cancer, it's not likely even with a lot of exposure to sun, and trust me, you'd notice if you were getting too much sun - it burns. I would say it's 99.999% sure that you don't and won't have skin cancer - and even if you did, it hardly ever results in death. As for your skin becoming lighter, maybe you just get less sun now, or wear tighter clothes, or whatever. And beauty marks or other things on the skin have a habit of itching.Either way, you're at an age where you're not unlikely to catch various illnesses, so if something happens to your skin - it's probably just a normal sickness.
