Should i quit my job for a better one?

0

I have a job at this golf course which pays 12 an hour, its hard working and interesting. However i have an interview with my buddies employer at a fabrication shop which has better pay and aspires more to my life goals. Im very excited because in the long term there are more benefits. If i don’t get the job I’ll just stick with the one i have but if i do, what do i do? My parents said i should stay in the one i have but i dont agree very much. Ive been faced with a dilemma.

Always have an "out" route. Assuming you get the other job, then choose whichever one makes you happiest, but like the others have said, don't do anything until you know for sure that you have that other option. The last thing you want to do is quit your job and then end up stranded without one if the fabrication job doesn't pan out.If you do leave, make sure you don't burn bridges with anyone at the golf course either. You never know when those connections that you've made could come in handy!

I say go for it. If it has better pay and closer to your aspirations what is the downfall? I guess a job you don't know if you like it until you are in it. So maybe you can ask others how they like that job. But make sure you are secure in getting the new job so you can quit the one you are at without problem.

At the end of the day, it is your life and your decision but I personally think you should go for it! Ofcourse there may be some risks, but thats okay because sometimes things don't work out, and other times they do. If the new job is helping you become of what you aspire to be, then you should definitely go for it and not have regrets in the future. You can always find another job, but Iu have to be comfortable in the environment you are working in and make sure that you are happy. That's just my opinion though :} Best of Luck, and I'm sure you'll do great <3

Well, tell your mom why you want the new job than the one you have. They might understand because it has better pay and it inspires you more. Good luck to you!

I think that you should go for the job you really want. It may be a bit scary but I'd hate for you to stay in a job that doesn't make you happy. There are a lot of opportunities out there and you just have to try and grab it sometimes. I advice you to not listen to anyone but yourself. You don't have to listen to what I said in the beginning because that was my opinion. What should absolutely do is whatever makes you happy! Good luck!
