Love is a very strong word. People take it very seriously. I suggest you ask him out. If he says yes and you two end up dating, further in the relationship tell him you love him. It gives him to adjust and you to feel accustomed to the relationship feel with him. Honestly, you should tell him when ever you feel like he should hear it and when you need to let it out.

hi. honestly i would tell him. i was in the same boat a year ago and i told the guy and we have been dating for a year on thursday. its scary to tell him but if your friends and he doesnt feel the same way he should just walk away he will still be friends with you and if he does feel the same way then you might get a boyfriend who know :) good luck!
