im doing a poetry slam and im reallyreally nervous it includes a lot of personal things and im used to having to share personal stuff to people i dont know but anyone have good methods to not be so anxious for it? besides like.. xanax.. ahahah d:
I found that just feeling as if you are alone, talking to yourself or someone close to you relieves anxiety that comes with public speaking and or talking about your feelings. Don't worry so much! Nobody will judge you and the people who do have nothing better to do with their time. You will do absolutely wonderful! I wish you luck. (:
You could memorize it and then close your eyes when doing the slam. That way you don't have to see the people staring at you. Unless you're required to make eye contact? In that case..find familiar faces in the crowd and just recite to them (x
