Overworked and Overstressed?

0

Okay, so, all of next week I have exams, with exception to Monday(tomorrow) and Friday. Tomorrow I need to scan my notes, clean out my room, closet, and bookbag, as well as finish preparing for all of my exams and do my laundry. I have two commissions I need to work on (artwork) and then, as if on cue, my step dad demands that because I’m not going to school at all tomorrow, I must not be doing anything with my time and he decides that tomorrow is a good day for me to scrub down the house and vacuum the floors before he gets home at 5. I haven’t even had time to SHOWER recently until almost midnight, and even then I’m scared my family will complain that I’m keeping them awake because they’re all light sleepers. How am I supposed to deal with this kind of stress?

Easy, friend. Deep breath.
I understand that feeling of being overwhelmed too, it happens (I have exams too starting Tuesday). Personally, I like lists. I write down what I need to do, and do it. When it's done, you get the gratifying task of crossing that sh-t off the list in anyway you please. Don't try to get the whole list done right away... You'll just stress yourself out even more. Take breaks. Give yourself time to breathe. Listen to your favorite playlist, have a snack, stretch- whatever works for you. Don't worry about the shower. If you feel icky, wipe yourself down with a baby wipe or give yourself a massage with some nice scented lotion. Dry shampoo is synonymous to liquid gold. Or even a little baby powder combed through your hair will do. If you don't have either, don't worry. It's finals week, nobody cares if your hair looks a little dirty. It's practically the one week a year where it's socially acceptable to look like a zombie!
Good luck on those exams!!

Hey there,Woah, you really have a busy time ahead of you! I'm sorry, but I don't know how to deal with that kind of stress (yet, I'm still learning). But perhaps it will help if you can at least get your family off your back. If they won't listen when you try to explain why you can't clean the whole house on your own at this time, you could show them a detailed list of all the things you need to do and calmly ask them if you could get a pass on some chores.Good luck!
