Opinions on a few things…

1. no, youre 12 whether you have a knife or not someone could hurt you, you do not need it. if you really feel unsafe, carry mace/pepper spray. do not spray into your own eyes. 2. maybe 1-2 where you dont leave the house. until you can drive theres really not too much to do 3.the best horror movies are the ones you can laugh at 4. happy - pharrel williams

1. No, there really isn't a need unless you're going into a sketchy part of town. If you do that bring a parent rather than a knife.2. When I was 12 I babysat my sister when my parents had to go places but it was only for a few hours. As long as you're not being left alone for days you'll be fine.3. If you have a Netflix account, or your mom does, go to the "Horror Movies" category.4. Go on YouTube and find a song you like and then go to the recommendations and pick out new songs that you haven't heard before. Personally, I like Fall Out Boy, SayWeCanFly, Mayday Parade, Panic! At The Disco and a few more bands. You're 12 though so try looking up "Top 100 Pop Songs" and go through them and find a few you enjoy.

1. No, this is a bad idea for a number of reasons.
2. It depends. Are you in a neighborhood where you feel safe? If you're comfortable with it, I'd say you're fine. I started staying home alone when I was 12. If you're nervous about it, ask your parents about what you should do if something happens.

you should definitely not carry a knife around for protection unless you are seriously prepared o stab someone. or be stabbed. I would suggest pepper spray, you can buy it at ace hardware. that stuff hurts like hell!! completely incapacitate almost anyone, or a stungun, man are those powerful. also a lot easier to use than stabbing someone. 2. For a couple hours at a time? i mean you're 12 not five, what's gonna happen in a couple hours that you can't handle?, Me and my brother stayed home alone for much longer at much younger ages. I know your nervous for your safty and all, but a knife is not exactly suitable. I think pepper spray is a much better idea. Being alone is fine, and of course natural. Who always wants to be crowded by people anyways?

The reason I want to carry around a 3.5'' knife is because A. I would only carry it at night. B. I don't feel safe around where I live and every week 2-3 people try to kidnap kids day/night. I'm also alone at night, so just in case.
