Mid life crisis

0

First of all I’m 16 currently studying for my exams that I genuinely feel like I’m going to fail… I’m actually really scared as most people say that GCSES are important and others don’t and I DONT KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE!
I did three GCSES last year in year 10 and I got 2 Bs miraculously but ended up failing science which I now have to resit next year… Is it normal that it hasn’t sunk in that this is important? I think I’m having a midlife crisis and I hate the British school system… ANYONE WHO THINKS ITS GOOD ITS NOT, TRY GOING TO A SCHOOL IN MANCHESTER!
I’m proper worried as it’s my last year and I want to enjoy it but exam stress is taking over my life and if I have to hear the word revise by a teacher ONE MORE TIME IM GOING TO THROW MYSELF DOWN THE STAIRS.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully reply because I don’t want to look like a loner :)

Hi there. In my experience, exam stress can be overwhelming, so I definitely feel you! You sound like a smart person, so you know without having to ask that they are important. Keep working hard and trying your best. See if there are free tutors around who can help you, either at school, if they're your friends or at the public library....there are many opportunities for help. Lastly, don't forget to have SOMETHING to help you relax. It can be a hobby like reading or knitting, or going to the movies and hanging out with your friends once in a while. Don't overwhelm yourself with only looking at how much work and studying you need to do. I hope things work out well for you. All the best etc.

The first person who commented is correct, you need some place quiet to relax when your going through GCSE's. I know what you are going through, I have been there and it wasn't a very relaxing time for me either. To answer the 'is GCSE's important?' Yes they're important. They help support you to get into college and do the subject(s) that you want to do. The most important grades are the English and the Maths (the governments opinion).GOOD LUCK IN YOUR EXAMS AND HAPPY REVISION. You can do this!

Hi, aww thank you for answering! Yeah I understand what your saying, it's really annoying that I have a sister who's been through it all but she never tells me anything about it and claims she forgets. Thanks again!
