issues with appearance

I have always been a bit embarrassed about my arm hair. I feel like compared to other girls it is long and dark. I started trimming it and i feel much more confident, but I still notice it more than I would like.
I am modeling for a bridal faire this Sunday, and Im not sure if I should shave my arms or not. opinions?

In my opinion, don't let anyone sway you to make a change to your appearance, but if you want to make a change, then do it for yourself and not anyone else. It's YOUR body and it should be YOUR decision if you want to change how you look because in the end, so long as you're happy, that's what counts. Hope this helps!

If the people who hired you for the job haven't said anything, you should be ok. If you're comfortable with it, take a razor and some no-water shaving gel if there's an emergency.

Many of the ladies in my office at my last job waxed their lower arms. I didn't even know that was a thing until they talked about it. One lady in particular has legs up to my neck, blonde, tanned and stunning - if she can do it, you sure as heck can.

Good luck with the modelling, if you're doing the job right they will be focusing on the dress anyway :)

You appearance is fine. Everyone's got things that they would change about themselves if they could. They just don't talk about it openly. My best advice to you, is not worry about arm hair. No one's really going to care what your arms look like. It's okay to keep shaving it when you are wearing dresses without sleeves and don't want it to show in a picture. But the best thing you could do, is to just accept it. Live with it and don't care what others think. You can count this as a small flaw but you have a lot more good qualities that people actually do look at. Be confident in what you look like, despite the things you would change. Being confident brings out inner beauty.

You should never compare yourself to other girls. You are your own person, not everyone is the same. You should not let arm hair bother you, I am Italian so I know the struggle, haha. You should always tell yourself you are beautiful, and never let someone make you feel embarrassed for who you are.Now arm hair. If you shave it, it will only grow back in darker and thicker. It gets to be a pain to shave, and YOU WILL need to shave all the time, after the first one 'cause it's going to be even more noticeable. But I understand what your saying, and how you feel and wanna help. So here are some of my suggestions. 1-Nair, its going to be uncomfortable, but its less irritating than shaving, way quicker, and it is is also inexpensive. 2-Look into laser hair removal, its long term, but pricey. But depending on where you are, some offices offer payment plans. 3-Hair bleach. It is inexpensive as well. you can get it at your local drug store. it is by sally hansen, its safe for your face, so you can use it on your arms. you wont have to worry about regrowth, and all that.I wish you the best of luck!

I think if it makes you feel better and it doesn't hurt you, you should do it. I was kind of surprised learning that a lot of people shave or wax their arm hair, but I guess it's because I've never paid attention to mine. If YOU don't like it, that's a good reason to get rid of it, but as a bit of personal advice based on my own experience, sometimes the things that we obsess over and think that other people notice, well, they don't.

As well, when you shave your hair it just comes back darker and thicker, if it really bothers you I think it would be best to bleach if anything, but arm hair isn't the first thing that anyone pays attention too, I don't think many people even pay attention to arm hair, so no need to worry :) Good luck!

Everyone is so self conscious about everything I feel exactly the same as you do but it's what makes us special we should embrace it and if anyone tells us different well screw them because it's you and I'm sure you're beautiful just the way you are. Just put on a smile and steal the show. :)

Having arm hair is perfectly normal! I see nothing wrong with it. But if you feel that it would help your confidence to shave it, then use your own judgement. But only if it's what YOU want. Because it's your body, and nobody elses!
