Isn’t competition lame?

When one wins or loses , the.one who won only could win because his opponent made a mistake , not because he did something, he was just able to hide is mistakes for a long time? And feelings of jealousy and revenge arrive?

A great man once said "If you win say nothing, if you lose say less." That great man was Paul Brown.

This is a bit lame but I once had a fortune cookie that said: "Those who never made a mistake never did anything worthy." Competition is what drives the world forward and without, we'd probably be stuck in the stone age for all we know. It does have its pros and cons but if you focus on its pros, competition can take you far.

"If the world didn't suck, we wouldn't be here." (This is talking literally about gravity but it also means, "Life sucks, but we're here for a reason, so keep living.") -MultipleMinds

No way related to my question? Neither am I venting?

I know people who are very jealous. The problem is that they mess up a good thing or put their hatred on the wrong, innocent people. Competition is good in healthy doses, but when people start doing dirty plays, that's when I think it's not so good.
