Is being a feminine guy ok?

You should definitely do what you like. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a feminine guy.Be aware, though, that conservative people will judge and annoy you. So prepare yourself to face that with courage and be proud of defending what you like and who you want to be.

Everyone's right - who cares what other people say! There's no such thing as a "girly guy" because you're who you are and you have the right not to label yourself. If anyone says something critical, just shrug it off and know that you know who you are and they're just pure assholes. Love you!

I think you should go for it! Painting your nails is not only a fun, creative hobby, but also an awesome way to express yourself. Remember that you are NOT the only guy who enjoys "girl" hobbies; there are many other guys out there who feel the same way as you- afraid they'll get made fun of. Same goes for girls who prefer what society defines as "boy" hobbies/activities.You should do what makes YOU happy. If you enjoy experimenting with your nails, then do it! It is totally fine to be a feminine guy! You are just like one of my guy friends he paints his nails all the time he just has the i don't care what people say adittude and you shouldn't care what others say either be who you wanna be do whatever makes you happy!(:

Show the whole world that fabulous nails of yours, dear. Just do whatever it is that makes you happy. As long as you're not stepping into other people's lives or stole that nail polish in some store, it's fine. Lol

I think that's great!!! There is NO reason why a guy can't or shouldn't paint his nails. The only reason people think its weird is because of the arbitrary limiting gender roles and stereotypes drilled into us since we were children by our parents who had it drilled into THEM since THEY were kids and so on and so forth. If you wanna paint your nails, GO FOR IT! Show everyone how silly their rigid little boxes are :)

Do it! Dont't let others try to stop from doing something that you enjoy. If you are unable too. Some things to do to calm your nerves is start off small. Do whatever the girly things you like, then gradually become more open about it. I believe that no matter what you choose, don't be afraid to show it. You can't let what normal people think dull your sparkle. You seem like a brilliant and wonderful person to be ashamed and afraid of something that makes you, well YOU. Go for it and yes, it'll be hard to fully overcome all the stares and side comments but eventually you'll be able to say, "I don't care what you think. If i want to paint my nails then I'll do it!" The only thing you should be worrying about is what color you're going to be painting them. If people ask, just shrug and say, "I just felt like it."And always remember: You are absolutely amazing!

Show your beautiful nails to the world! Don't be afraid to show off who you are. If you are a bit girly, then go all out with it! Being afraid of what others say or think about us can happen pretty often at any age. We want to fit in but also be special and stand out. You decide if you want to do it or not! I think it's important that first of all YOU feel comfortable about paining your nails and the other "girly things". There will always be people that judge us and others who accept us but that's not up to us, it depends on their personal standards and "rules". We can't change that. But you can make sure that you do what's good for you, for your life and future and you're happy with yourself and what you do. There are many ways to calm your nerves like deep breathing, looking at a beautiful picture or seeing something nice around you, squeezing a stress ball, listening to a song or any sound, a nice taste or scent...or whatever works for you and calms you. The point is to get distracted from your anxious thoughts and be more present. Smile :) ! No matter if you paint your nails or not you are an amazing person and everything is ok!

When you finish painting yours, will you do mine? They're a bit wonky at the moment. Don't ever think that you're not right or normal or anything because you enjoy doing things that stereotypes go against. People will show interest in your nails when you do go out. It may be a look or a snarky noise. They do this because of the idea that has be planted in most peoples' mind of a strict line between girl things and boy things. I would have to say go out and do it, just like everyone else. And I hope that when you do, and you get those little shows of interest (good and bad), you just carry on.

As a guy, I admit that I would find it kind of strange to see a guy with painted fingernails. However, "To each their own." Who am I to judge?

I'm a girl and honestly I think it would be dope if a guy painted his nails. I know you've gotten a ton of responses but there is nothing wrong with being feminine. At all. If you want, you can start out showing your nails in a more masculine way. I don't know, I knew a guy who would paint just his middle fingers black and then would do like a money sign in gold on the nail. It was sick! and then you can slowly do more feminine colors and show them off in public. Honestly, you can go all out, nail art is cool. You can get different sized brushes and do different designs. You can make them look manly or you can make them look feminine. The right people will acknowledge it as a positive thing. You might even start a trend. Be true to yourself, the people who don't like guys being feminine are just really insecure about themselves.
