Is anyone good at telling what a dream might be trying to say/tell?

I have been having a dream over and over again. Almost every night. I says its the same dream but there are three different versions. It always start out the same way. I am home and someone, i don’t know who it is but its always a man, comes to my house and knocks on the door. I open the door to talk to the person at this point he attacks me. I will not go into the details of that but they are really bad in my dream. In the end I am brushed all over, have black eyes, broken arm and ribs, and two or three stab wounds in my side, its not a nice picture. After I am put back together at the hospital my family comes in and my mom, dad and brother are always there in every dream. My boyfriend’s mom and niece are also always there. I am always told that his step-dad is at the hospital too but i never see him. The part that changes is when it comes to my boyfriend. My boyfriend lives more then 20 hrs away from me right now so I am not sure if that plays into the dream sometimes but here are the three different things that happens. One- he comes and sees me, two-he comes and he has his daughter with him (i have not meet his daughter yet) and three-he does not come at all. And its not like i dream version more then the others. i dream them all about the same but i don’t understand why the three versions and what they might mean. More so why the dream is more focused on what he does and how he reacts. I am not the type of person to let my life center on someone else and there actions. I care a lot about my bf but I don’t wait around for him to message or anything like that. We talk when we can and I live my life as normal. So why the f***ed up dream?

Maybe you're just thinking too much about it that it keeps on reappearing. And maybe you're thinking too much of what your bf might think of that you're having dreams of him.... Maybe his step-dad was involved with the beating, who knows - Have you met his step dad or heard stories about him? You're probably just thinking way too much

The dream may be caused by stress. Maybe you're stressed out with work or school? It may also be a sign that you need to see your boyfriend and make sure he's still serious about the relationship. Your dream might be telling you not to trust him. Hope this helps!

What it seems to be to me is that it is trying to show you that you are focusing too much on your boyfriend while ignoring the world around you. The thing that catches my attention is that you are savagely injured, and yet all you seem to notice is the actions of your boyfriend over everything else.

It is merely a speculation, but perhaps what this is trying to show you is that you should take some time to yourself, and allow your mind a rest from focusing on your boyfriend all the time. It is understandable that he would be on your mind all the time, but it happens all too often in relationships where someone will focus entirely on their significant other whilst ignoring themselves completely.
