Embracing yourself for who you are is a process that builds up day by day. You have to be persistent in changing some thoughts about you and some behaviours that make you feel inferior. You have to ask yourself: Is there a reason for feeling so intimidated? Do you consistently want to make the others see you differently? Focus mainly on feeling good despite of what the others feel about you. If you want to be like the others you lose yourself. So find what you like about yourself and support it no matter what.
I think every single one of us is insecure in some way. You need to accept yourself for who you are, find what you like about yourself and embrace that. Looking at your photo I think you have a gorgeous smile, that's something positive. :)
