I'd find something, anything, that makes you laugh until you cry/wheeze/snort. Even if that's weird humor: I've got friends who go in for kids' cartoons, and others who watch stupid youtube stuff. Depends.

Another thing to do is read other people's stories. For me, I use Love Gives Me Hope and other heavily emotional sites. If you're stressed out, seeing that others are/aren't stressed often will give perspective. Helps me, anyway!

The last and best thing is to grab a good friend, and treat 'em to coffee (or a can of soda, if you've only got a few minutes). I mean a GOOD friend, someone you can just gush out, and who'll help you. A parent will also work well sometimes, or an SO. Someone who'll listen is all you need to get the stress off. Helps you feel like you aren't alone... cause you aren't! You've got all of us! :D

Hope this helps!

I would advise finding things that you think are funny.
Whenever I am really stressed I go on youtube and watch collegehumor or screenjunkies.

It depends on your humor but I find good laugh very helpful.

Talk to some, anyone, even if it is on the blahtherapy vent. keeping it inside will not help you, only hurt you more. I am speaking from first hand experience. Right now I am dealing with extreme chronic stress that has taken a huge toll on my health. Letting it all out help, it helps lift some of the burden off your shoulders to just pour out everything that is bothering you. as the other two users have mentioned, humor is a good thing, lightens your soul. As for coping, instead of putting your energy into worrying, but your energy into the solutions. You are shy and afraid about the audition, poor all that negative energy you have into practicing to be better and more confident instead of worrying. Go out and do something you enjoy. Things do get better, it may not seem like it right now, but they do.

MEDITATION. This is your only answer. Research meditating techniques and how to start. You can do it anywhere and it works for everyone because it is just breathing techniques. Please try this. :]
