I’m a girl yet….

I can’t get someone out of my mind, I don’t know what to do. I go to school and honestly this is not healthy but the main thing driving me is the idea of seeing her. I go to school early just to see her and I make it look a coincidence when its not. When I see her I just get so happy and I want to hug her every time I see her. I don’t know what it is I’m feeling, or is it fearing what I’m feeling. What should I do?

It's normal to develop feelings for people that you feel very close to, especially if these people are nice to us. You can't control your feelings and you can't control towards whom these feelings will be. Obviously, we can't know what your heart feels if you're not sure yourself if this is a deep friendship or something more, so this is up to you to explore and find out. However, what I can advise you to do is to not make a move towards the other girl until you're sure about your feelings and you're sure that she feels the same :) Good luck!

Sometimes we may deeply admire someone of the same sex without having actual sexual attraction. Tyra Banks once did a segment of this on her show and called them "Girl crushes". I've had a few growing up and would find some girls in my grade that I highly admired and would get excited to see. At times this happens because there are qualities in that person that you wish to emulate, or love to be around. I was happy to be their friend, or if I wasn't their friend would make it sort of my goal to become one. There could be many reasons why your mind chooses to focus on this person. Maybe ask yourself what it is about her that makes you excited and try to correlate it with your own desires.
