If the average human lifespan was 40 years..

how would you live your life differently? I am going to say, just live life to the fullest. But it’s like we won’t get a chance to be grandparents when we grow old or we might not retire, in that case. It just seems so short and quick

So after my teenage years I had a very very strong feeling I wasn't going to live to see 30. I lived a very hard and fast life and then I hit 30. I then felt like I was living on borrowed time... any day something would happen and BAM I'd be gone. I'm 33 now and it looks like I'm in for the long haul.

Since I strongly identified with dying before 30 I did live an excessive life. Thankfully enough I didn't screw up too bad. Since I've learned everything in moderation and don't forget you really can die at any time... so just enjoy yourself.

I just start to think how very different the world would be, but I couldn't possibly imagine. If I were to live only 40 years, I wouldn't do much anything differently than just have a normal life, I'd just do it all much quicker

That's a scaring idea (not impossible, we don't know how future will be like), I think that a lot of things would change. For example, I think that we would use less time for studying and start working earlier. And you should have your first child with 20 years or something like that if you want to take care of him until becoming an adult. I can't imagine... We would realize that we couldn't turn in to reality all our plans and, so, we would have to choose the more important (essential), maybe we would give more value to time and do most of what we really love. And I think I would have fear to die very soon, like nowadays people with 80 years have, some feel... Like... One day they can simply die. It's a kind of "waiting", a constantly worrying. Well, I confess, I am a teenager now and I have fear of future... Our planet is, each day worst. It's not a problem to the next generations.
