Leaving your parents just like that will hurt them. They are against the fact that you have an older boyfriend because they want to protect you. They probably still see you as their little girl and they are most likely just concerned that you'd get hurt. When you turn 18, their opinion about you having an older boyfriend might change. Try to sit around the table with them and explain how you feel. Ask them to give your boyfriend a chance so they can get to know him a bit before they judge.
