Have you tried to stop? Just not buy another bottle of alcohol, go a night or two without drinking. Do you feel distressed if you do that? Do you start having any physical symptoms? If so, you need to see a doctor. Friends are good support and it's a wonderful first step that you're reaching out here, but if we're talking about alcoholism and physical addiction, you will also need to see specialized professionals who are aware of the physical and physiological impact of your habit.
