I haven’t been taking my anti-depressant medication…

So, it’s has been a few weeks since my medication has ran out for my anti-depressant and well I have just “forgotten” to tell my mom that it has ran out. I don’t know what to do. I feel like I have gotten a lot better, but I don’t think I have at the same time. What if my anti-depressant was just making everything worse? I just don’t even know!

Well do you feel like you need them? How did you feel when you took them? And remember that if you do start them again, it will take a little while for your body to adjust.

I think you should definitely talk to your mom about it. If you feel fine maybe talk to a specialist and get his opinion. If you feel okay with out them then go for it but sometimes I go through stages of depression.

Definitely tell your mother and maybe a doctor. It is possible it made things worse. I went through about five different antidepressants before I found the right one

If you havent taken them for a few weeks and you are feeling an improvement, go back to your GP or whoever prescribed them and let them know. I personally stopped myself from taking mine just because i ran out one day and didnt take any more, however i think im going to go back onto them :/ The only downfall is as people said is that if you do decide to go back on them they are going to take sometime to work again and this wait can be very frustrating. Talk to whoever prescribed them but also your therapist as they may have a better idea on your improvement in how you are travelling, same with your mum.

From experience, either stay on the pills or stay off. If you go on and off like this it'll really cause some damage.Find out what works and stick with it.
