I feel overwhelmed by everything all the time.

For example, when I know I have to clean the house I want it done perfectly. But when I know I am missing something or I dont have the carpet cleaner or have the time I just won’t do it because Im so overwhelmed by all that needs done but I know it will not get done. Even though all it needs is picked up and it will be fine. I overwelm myself with all of the different scenarios that I think need to potentially happen once I start.

Hi, In that case sometimes the best thing to do it not over-think things. Think of what you do but don't elaborate it. You know you have to get the carpet cleaner to do your job, okay that's a fact; stop your thoughts right there and go out to get it. The more you think of it you'd get back into the cycle you are trying to break off from. Having a planner or a schedule might also help you to know ahead of time what you have to do so nothing gets on the way. I hope this suggestion was helpful.

I agree with Blossoming_road. Sometimes we just have to do everything step by step. What I do is make my to-do lists very specific. For example, instead of putting "clean the kitchen," I break it up into "wash the dishes" and "clean the fridge." That way, when I check off the things I finished doing, I feel more accomplished. I also separate the items on my to-do list by priorities. I first do the things that need to be done immediately and know that the less important duties can wait.
