I think what you're saying is "What if I was a guy and responded to a guy with 'what's up'?" Well personally, I think you'd be asking what they're up to. I mean I'm a girl so I may just be insane for thinking like that, but that's how I see that response.

Well, seriously, if it went on that way: Guy: "What's up?" You: "I'm being a guy."Depending on the person, the lad might just say: "How is that going for you?" or "I see." or "What?" He'll either not understand your relatively funny reply, take it too seriously or laugh at it.
