How to tell best friend/roommate to move?

0

My best friend and her child had no where to go about 6 months ago and it was supposed to be a temporary thing. After about 4 months of asking for no money and only two chores my boyfriend and I told her she has to pay $200 a month because we can’t afford the extra gas and bill expenses. Ever since then she has only paid $100 and won’t clean up. I still love her as my best friend but I can’t handle the stress and drama between my boyfriend and I because of this. I let her use my car for work and picking up her daughter twice a week 20 miles away, I babysit for free and I buy all of the food and house essentials (tp, paper towels and such). I don’t want to hurt her and ruin our friendship but I need her to move.

I think you should just sit her down and have a honest conversation with her about sticking around and getting a job or getting out. You. my friend, cannot be too bashful to tell her how you really feel. While it is important to handle the conversation lightly, make sure to be firm and sure of yourself. Remember, you have power, and you know what needs to be done.

I have tried to help her get a new job and even taken her to get applications but she still doesn't do it. My boyfriend and I are in the process of buying a house and I told her she won't be able to come because we need to spend time together alone in the new house. She tells me she has no where else to go and I feel bad so I don't know what to do to convince her I'm serious.
