How many dates before you become a “couple”

I have been on three dates with this guy and things are going really well. We always have a lot of fun and I get super excited to see him every time. How many dates do you go on, usually, before you become “exclusive” and how do you go about making that happen??

I think that becoming a couple requires a conversation and an extended period of really getting to know someone. Place value on yourself as well as a relationship.

It's different in all relationships. There is no rule. To me 3 dates is rushing it. It took 7 months of dating for me and my boyfriend to be exclusive. Relax

I think the typical misconception is that three dates or more makes you a couple. However, I disagree. I believe being in a serious, committed relationship requires a serious talk about commitment. Make sense? You should have a talk about what you both want, and where you both want to be in terms of a relationship. Maybe they love going on dates with you, but don't want to be exclusive for now. Maybe once the talk comes up, you'll realize even you aren't ready for that level of commitment. I hope for the best for you though!
