Lots of adults pretend they have it together when they don't, this is not something that is exclusive to college students. But life kind of forces you to do that. It's not socially acceptable to be constantly on the verge of a breakdown, and if you are it's considered "attention seeking". Society encourages people to hide it when they don't have their shit together, as if it's something to be embarrassed about, but the truth is that everyone struggles at some point. Everyone you meet, whether it's a teenager wearing all black, a college student with bags under their eyes, or a well-put together adult in the business world, any one of them could be facing conditions where they feel like their life is falling apart. That is why it's so important to be kind to everyone, and be quick to forgive. (To answer your question though, Fall will be the start of my third year of University)
