How do you guys deal with paranoid and negative thoughts?

I seem to be getting a load of them lately. The most recurring thoughts are my boyfriend is losing interests and my friends hate me, neither of whom have given me any indication of any signs of hatred towards me. I’m worried it may affect my relationships with them.

I can relate! What I do to deal with it is to write down all the good things they've done for me. Then, whenever I feel doubtful, I look at it and feel really silly afterwards because they care so much about me. Like "Haha, man I'm just being irrational right now. I have no reason to doubt these people." Hope this helped! (:

Try to keep yourself busy, you wrote on your profile you play video games, whenever you have these kind of thoughts, try to clear them away buy getting involved into a game, or watch a movie that wouldn't have anything related to your problems in it. Usually disney movies tend to work, even tho theres alot of romantic stuff, they're quiet childish, and they keep your mind away. If you feel like they're loosing interest, ask them to hang out, arrange stuff, and see them more too, the more you hang out with them, and you have fun with them, it'll help move away from the thoughts.

Personally I find the good in them I use my depression to think harder about reality and difficulties, sometimes I drink and my greatest creative writing happens from my depression..As when I'm paranoid I tend to follow it's every suggestion, I lock all doors, I buy a safe, I make all precautions possible for bad things that might happen.. and trust me it served me awesomely in my life.. about every anticipated threat or accident is handled and prepared for ^__^ yes sometimes I over spend time and effort on it nevertheless.

Thanks for the answers, I felt really silly worrying about this stuff and didn't want to bombard the people with these types of things constantly. :)
