a web site called quizlet is my best friend when i have to study, you can find a study set or make your own, it is visual and audio so it works great for most people.

You need to seriously think about what will happen if you DONT sutdy. If you arent liking what might happen you better study. Im sure you have what it takes to push yourself, and do this. Good luck :)

I hear you, and you aren't the only one having a hard time to focus on your studies when there are so many other things you could be doing in stead. But it is important, as much as it sucks. Try to remember that it's a step to your future, everything you learn now is important and will help you with whatever you choose to do later on in life, college.

One thing you need to get rid of is distractions. Studying on your computer can very soon turn into something completely different and you get away from what you're actually supposed to be doing. As well as your cell phone. Another thing you could try is a change of scenery, sometimes you need a different place. Maybe go to the library and study. It's a quiet and serene place that really let's you keep your mind focused. You could also get together with some friends and form a study group, help each other out. You're all in this together.

Rewarding yourself. Set goals for what you want to achive. Like today I'm going to study for two hours, or I'm going to finish this essay or whatever it is. And when you're done, give yourself a treat. Watch your favorite TV show, read a book or whatever that relaxes you and makes you happy. Succeeding with your goals will only motivate you and help you stay on the track, maybe even upping your game. And allow yourself some down time. Studies have shown that the best way to study is to take small breaks in between sessions. Don't overdo it, it will only lead to overflowing your brain until you can't take anymore information in and you don't learn it. Also mentality, tell yourself that you wan't to learn it and that you will.

Other random things, chewing gum while you're studying and the same one when you're taking the test will actually help your memory. Also apperantly, the best music to listen to while studying is heavy metal. I'm not really sure why but hey, if it works then fine. But if it's not your cup of tea... then try maybe some instrumental music or something. Songs with lyrics isn't really the best idea, you tend to get away from what you're supposed to be doing and think of the song.

Good luck with the studying, hope this long ramble was of any help.

Just think bout studying, what happends if you dont study. Hell even put in your head you are going to fail. Think about the consequences and really try to feel like studying is going to improve your life and really help you pass that test

I agree with the Curious one, that works or study with friends.

Creating a study group helps! If you need to stay up late studying, drinking a glass of cold water every 30 minutes helps because you cant go to sleep when you have to pee! It's also been proven that chewing the same flavor gum while studying and taking the test helps improve your memory. I would also advise making flashcards and as you write each one, say what you're writing out loud. Writing things down improves memory, and so does saying it out loud. Hope I helped!

Turn off electronics and put them away. Ask a friend or someone to hide your laptop, phone, etc until after the tests. Try calming yourself down by meditating for 3 minutes breathing in and out. And then start studying with all the other helpful tips up there.
