Lately I’ve been eating a lot, like, non stop. Sometimes when I’m not even hungry. When I get stressed, upset, even when I’m in a good mood I feel the need to eat. I don’t know if it’s putting myself at risk since I have such a high metabolism, but I’m not sure if it’s totally okay to eat so much.
If you feel anxious about it, then I would exercise a bit. Don't over do it, because if you have a high metabolism then it shouldn't be a problem at all. A little work out never really hurt anyone. And when you're looking for a snack, try to search for healthy alternatives. Sure, those chips look super good, but you'll feel better if you go for something beneficial to your over all health. It doesn't sound like you have too much to worry about though :)
I struggle with the same thing sometimes, and honestly sometimes what it can be is emotional eating. What you can do before eating the food, is imagine yourself eating it. If that makes you hungry you might actually really be hungry; but if that thought makes you cringe or doesn't bother you at all you just might not be hungry at all.
Being a person with high metabolism, I am more worried about drastically changing my eating habits, than maintaining eating a lot. I know my body can deal with a bunch of food, so it's better to keep it working than to change the circumstances, which might have adverse consequences. Just try to make sure you eat varied, I don't think quantity should be a big issue.
You should never eat when you're not hungry. You can drink when you're not thirsty, because so much of you is liquid, but not with food. Most likely you're not doing enough to occupy your time. Physical activities are especially important.
