how come people are better over social media?

Over the internet, people can choose which side of them they show. Someone over the internet might be in tears in reality, but acting funny online. It can often be a mask. Though I can understand what you mean. I've met some kind people too, especially here on blah. There's always a possibility that you could meet them someday, if one of you travels and after you've known each other for a while.

Maybe its because we usually already know most people around us (that we talk to) while the people we meet online are usually strangers (?)I dunno.

yeah i've had that as well. It just that people are more comfortable being themselves before a screen, as sad as it sounds, it's true. It's the same with people you don't know too well, you talk to them online, they talk like they've know you for a while but in person it is so different.
