Just looking for advice. How can someone who is almost 30 and never had a job get one? I have been applying(fast food, retail, entry level) just to be told I am not what they are looking for (We have reviewed your application for this position and will be proceeding with other candidates at this time.) or they are not hiring. No interviews. Cannot volunteer as there is no where near too

Maybe you could start by doing small works to people you know, and adding that to your CV. It's always a bonus. And now, that Summer is starting, try too look for schools or associations that look for people to help them to take children to the beach, or bartender at a beach bar. Search for jobs as a life guard or something like that. Take full advantage of the fact that it is summer and start with little jobs like that to put on your CV. Unless you have a good school background, I think this is the best way you can start.

Hey there! Instead of sending in an application, you might want to try and call up a company and ask them if they could use a new employee. This way you are not an application, but a voice. Even better would be to walk in as they would see a face. At the moment they have 20 applications, they are picking the best fitting out of it. Someone who walks in is more noticable.Maybe there is a work agency that you could visit, they often give everyone a chance.Last but not least. Don't give up, don't let worries rule in any conversation. Stay positive!
