How can I study, or get good grades?

It’s hard for me to study, and I really need my grades to bounce up.
(I’m lazy and never put much effort)

You could try breaking up the work into smaller sections, really small sections and when you study each section don't think about any other sections just understand that section. Once you understand everything separately it will all make sense together and then you can apply the knowledge. Good luck. Study everyday.

Remember that we all function in different ways. Which means not every way of doing the studies will work for you. So try and find a way to make it more interesting for you to learn it. I'm clever but I got bored with repeating texts for example. So I used visuals or practical experiments etc. when possible.Another tip would be look for a study group or try and form one with some classmates. That way you have more support and motivation to do the exercises. You can also discuss the studies with each other and that will help you remember and learn as well!Other than that you have to make yourself get over the laziness and put in the effort ;) If you want to raise your grades your teacher will most likely be happy to show you or help you find out what you need to do to reach them.Best of luck! - Johan

I make flashcards a few nights before the exam, and then go over them one or two nights before the exam -- three times before bed each night. You'd be amazed at how much you end up remembering.

The only way I can study is by using flash cards and making it into a game show. This obviously means I always need another person which is sometimes hard to do. But it works for me. Maybe it could help you too.

- Create a study plan and try to follow it. After two weeks you will become use to it and it won't be hard for you to sit down and study. - Study for 40-50 minutes and then take a brake 5-10 minutes. In this time try to be physically active (dance, play with your dog..) - Get enough sleep. You cannot study if you are tired. - Find a quiet room. Having television on while you study isn't a good idea. You have to be focused. For me having a computer in my room is distracting, because i find many more interesting things on internet while I should be studying - Clear your mind. Know you will do it just fine :)

Actually not having the internet is really helpful for studying, I only have one ethernet cable in my uni room (no wifi) so I let my bf use it for his revision. I sat across the room and went through printed out notes, got so so so much more done. Was very helpful to have him there as my human dictionary though. I got way more zoned in when I wasn't tempted by the internet/roller coaster tycoon! Oops.
