I’ve liked this one guy for a long time (a couple of years) and he finally asked me to homecoming yesterday. It was in an adorable way, with signs that the marching band held up and flowers. His friends told me that he liked me the same way I liked him, and he didn’t deny it when they asked him (with me present). But he told me today that he wants to go as ‘just friends’ because he doesn’t want the chance of breaking up and not being friends anymore. To say the least, I am heartbroken. I just don’t know what to do, because I really don’t want to give up on the idea of being in a relationship with him.
