Help with a project?

0

Hi guys! So I know how everyone likes being helpful and how people always seem to find answers when the person asking the question can’t find it… So maybe someone can help me?

I’m doing a project on barriers on education, and my topic is grief. So I have to find how grief impacts the child’s education, the parents, the child’s teachers, and the school. I can’t seem to find how it impacts the parents, teachers, or school – even though I know it obviously does.

Can someone help me find the impacts? It would mean a lot to me in many ways – not just as a school project, but as a way to understand what my school did wrong when I was grieving as a child.

Thank you in advance!

This sounds like homework for a lawsuit. I know when my Grandma died I pretty much went catatonic, just went through the motions at work and school and my performance in both areas suffered greatly.

It's not for a lawsuit it's for a teaching class. Like learn about the barriers so we know how to deal with them. I just need how a child's grief effects that child's parents, teachers, and school.
Also the "not talking about death in elementary school" is not true because I always talked about my loved one's death and that was in first grade.

I would really love to contribute to this topic and help out if I can. However I don't really get the question:Do you mean 1. How does grief affect the parents, teacher and school and affect their giving the child a quality education? or did you mean 2. How does grief of the child affect the parents, teachers, and school in terms of giving the child a quality education?3. Grief is very general too. Do you mean grief as in grieving for a lost one? Or did you mean grief in general? Depression, esteem issues, family background, bullying, peer pressure?4. What is the age group of 'children' that you want data on?

@emeraldbay how does a child's grief affect the parents of the child, the child's teachers, and the child's school? Just how does it affect them at all. And just grief in general, over a death or divorce or losing something etc. Also any age group

well in elementary school, things like death are not allowed to be talked about because they are afraid of upsetting the little kids, so it sort of puts everyone in an uncomfortable position. That's all I got but I'm sure there is moreGood Luck
