Just go take her out to lunch or dinner... get her without this other person.... and spill everything... then her to only talk after you are done, and give her a few minutes to get her thoughts organized...then ask her what she thinks. Good Luck.

I used to be really overweight, a bit of a nerd at school. Didn't have many friends and certainly no hope of a girlfriend. There was this one girl I really liked, one of the most popular girls in school. I have fancied her since the first year at secondary school, through college and now I'm at university, I lost 5 stone in weight, grew up and matured, in the past few years we've actually become best mates, about 6 months into us being friends I told her how I felt about her, she explained that she didn't like me that way and she wanted to be friends, I don't like people always blaming the friend zone, because a girl has every right to decline an offer if they aren't interested.A few years later, we've stayed close friends, I still look at her and get butterflies, but I've learnt to see my feelings for her in a different light, I consider myself a guardian to her, I've protected her and helped her at her lowest points, and been there to party at her highest points. About 3 months ago, I introduced her to one of my friends form university, I knew how much of a decent guy he was, he was so good with girls he could have anyone he wanted, yet in his last serious relationship he treated her like a princess and I got to witness that. If she didn't want me, I was determined to make sure she ends up with someone fantastic who will treat her right. I set them up and am responsible for them now being in a relationship, there are times I used to feel a slight bit of envy, she's an Angel. But I quickly remember that she is happy, and that is more important.I don't want to say the steryotypical "there are plenty more fish in the sea" but, the reason its such a popular saying is because its so accurate. You'll find someone new, you'll still in school, you've got the best years of your life ahead of you, and who knows, if she's dating a complete jerk, it probably wont last long, then maybe you can come in and treat her how she should be treated 'eh?Much love bro, I've been in your shoes and know how lousy it can make you feel.

Let's start with something basic. What is defined as a jerk? It all depends on how he treats her and how he treats others. Once you look past that you can see the truth. Then, you need to tell her. Us females sometimes need that little push, a little....slap in the face (metaphorically). You need to tell her what you see, and how you feel about who she is dating...this also could lead into confessing your feelings depending on how she reacts to the first part. Just tell her how you feel, what you see, and how things can be better. The truth can set people free. Give it a try, and I wish you luck in your future.
