Have nightmares everyday?

0

I have nightmares, most of the time involve someone trying to kill me, or me killing someone else. This happens every day and I’m lucky not to remember my dream. It’s gotten so bad to the point where I can’t even watch the slightest of gore or horror on tv, or I’ll basically be scarred in my dreams. It’s basically the same theme every time, and it’s somebody trying to steal my belongings or kill me, while I have family members just sit and watch me run away from death. I’m done with this, and if I were to see a doctor, which type would I see? It’s just that I’m kind of unwilling to spend my money on a doctor when I don’t know what they can actually do to help. Thanks. (Ps. I don’t eat right before I sleep)

It seems like you're having night terrors. A psychologist should be able to help. But hang in thee I know it can be tough.

I don't know what could be causing this, it could be social/environmental factors, but in addition to Psycho-therapy, make sure you are getting a balanced diet and all the vitamins and minerals and water you need. Also if you have an allergy, try anti-histamines. Keep your bedding clean and fresh, also free of allergens (feathers/bio washing powder/cats/mould spores). Aviod caffeinated/artificially sweetened drinks in the afternoon and maybe having chocolate before bed would make your subconscious feel more loved. Maybe see a doctor for a physical check-up; your body might be trying to tell you something.
Just a few ideas to facilitate happy dreaming. I hope you get some more pleasant scenes soon.

Usually this stuff is caused by stress. Try doing something to calm you down before you sleep or light incense sticks, they help to calm you and give you better dreams from the smell. Also, just list the positive things in your life before you sleep and try to think positively before bed. I always find that my dreams are worse when I've been worrying. Good luck!

usually this is caused by stress or when something really traumatic happens to you. dreams are our subconscious thoughts/fears manifesting themselves into something easily recognizable. some kind of therapist may be able to help you out. personally, i feel like going to a trusted friend would also work. talking it out is what is most important. when you talk things out, you're bound to make connections or reach conclusions much faster than if you try to deal with this alone. in the meantime, try putting soft music before you sleep. don't eat too heavy because this sometimes attributes to nightmares. try not to watch intense movies/shows (whether horror or emotionally intense) because this may also trigger those dreams. i wish you the best of luck
