well, depression, panic attacks, and anxiety are due to the lack of minerals in the body, especially Niacin, or Vit. B3. Ive suffered from depression and found out about it, took it and it really really helped. I also told a friend of mine who had suffered from anxiety and depression, he took Niacin and it worked. I dont believe in doctors or prescription drugs, they dont help, they only make things worse. Diet plays a HUGE role in life. If your diet is bad, your mood will be bad. People really have lost their ways, we have become too dependent on drugs. Food can cure everything, minerals can cure everything. Any ailment can be solved. We are all deficient, its shocking. And believe it or not, its really not costly to keep up good health, emotionally, mentally and physically.
From what I know pills are a short term option for treating panic attacks and intense anxiety, they calm people down and sedate them but it's not ok to use pills as a long term treatment because of their side effects. There are other options for a long term solution like progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing, meditation, yoga, and cognitive therapy (self help books like Mind over Mood or a therapist can help you in less than 10 sessions)
