I think the most important thing about losing weight is being able to stick with it, portion your meals, there's lots of online guides that tell you how much/when/what you should be eating throughout the day. Eating 5-6 small meals a day can really cut down the calories so you won't need to snack and whatnot. Also, pilates helps tons! It builds and defines the core and will really get you into shape and it doesn't take a lot of time. Walking/ running won't really do much it's just a warm-up unless you want to run for forever. But pilates you can really feel it and do it for about 30 mins a day and you will see results in a matter of weeks if you keep up with it.
