Your introversion isn't so much a bad thing. The home is the foundation, after all, and you appear to enjoy spending time there and improving things.

That being said, as the poster before me stated; yes, variety is the spice of life. You don't have to feel compelled or obligated to step out of your door, but if you go so many hours out of a day or days out of a week without face-to-face contact, it doesn't matter how much interaction with people you get on the internet, your interpersonal skills will begin to suffer.

I can relate to your situation, took me some time to improve my social life outside of school. But the answer to your question is yes. After all, variety is the spice of life. Just if you ever go out, make sure you let your parents know where going.
