I’m curious about what others have found have helped them during a panic attack. many of the things I’ve read, talk about controlling breathing, but I find, in the moment of a panic attack, this makes things worse. So I guess I’m generally asking those who have exsperianced panic attacks, what do you do to help yourself.
I know this doesn't work for a lot of people but I practice. I do things that I know I can do and can do with out thinking about it. Doing repetitive things can be comforting. Like I said I know a lot of people that this doesn't work for but for those it does work for it is like amazing. There is also tapping a beat simaler to your heart beat on your collar bone.
