college choice

Right now I am a freshman in college and honestly I hate this place. It’s not the college experience I always dreamed of having but my parents made me come here because the college gave me a full ride. I see and hear about all of my friends having fun all the time and really enjoying college while my school doesn’t even have a football team. There’s literally nothing to do here on weekends majority of the people here are from around here and go home, but my home is three hours away. Should I transfer next year and go to the college I really wanted to go to or should I just stay here and bare it.

I'll pass on something I was told by my school's college counselor. Obviously it's not word-for-word, but it gets the meaning across: high school is something you can tough out, but college shouldn't be. If you really want to, then transfer. The worst thing you could do would be to stay and be miserable for three more years.

I agree with Cosmic, you get maybe one life, maybe, but still, better to make that life good for you.
